A visit to Bird Kingdom located at Niagara falls Ontario was extremely refreshing and fun. The aviaries were open concept, so the birds would fly past you while you watch them, and as they become increasingly curious, they would fly closer and closer. I particularly found the golden bird with black stripe markings across the cheek a fascinating specimen. It was attempting to court a brown coloured female of its kind and on occasion, would flare its cheek feathers to cover its beak.
